- Case Description

The internal staffs did not cooperate, when the client tried to promote the MMR (human-machine ratio) improvement in the company. After some stations were imported UVOL’s outsourcing service, MMR was successfully implemented by the outsourced staffs with high execution and cooperation. It achieved the result from 1 person operating 2 machines to 1 person operating 3 machines, personnel from 30 people/shift to 20 people/shift .

The Defective Rate Is Reduced

Because the screw hole is close to the socket, the socket is easy to be damaged when staff is screwing, resulting in the daily defective rate of about 1.2%. Before the improvement, the locking screw of the base plate will be biased, resulting in scrapping of the base plate and the socket. After the improvement, the baffle is added to eliminate the defect caused by the biased, and this completely eliminates the defect.

Daily production capacity of 750*1.2%=9PCS (defect), part price 3.8/PCS. 9PCS*3.8 yuan=34.2 yuan, according to A / B shift, savings of 1710 yuan per month.
